Continuing along with this series... Today we are picking up the Palladium Fantasy 1e Revised book as this will kick off the next set of videos. In this video, I am doing a general overview from the table, giving my thoughts on it.
Fantasy has always been my favorite type of game to play when I was a kid and most of my adult life. As I grew older, my love for fantasy did grow, but the pace slowed down a bit as modern day time period games started to catch up. BUT when it comes to old school fantasy, it always wins in my heart.
This game when I first played in back in Junior High/High School era of my gaming, felt like the fantasy game that captured me into roleplaying, which was D&D, basic and 1e. As time went on, and AD&D morphed into AD&D 2e, pushing Gygax out of the company, I felt D&D lost its edge or appeal to me, the game wasn't the same as it once was in my eyes.
Then I found Fantasy by Palladium.
At first I was like, "this looks like AD&D with house rules" but a friend of mine who introduced me, named Desmond told me, "Yes it looks that way, but wait until you play, so many options and possibilities to explore and the danger feeling is back, just check out the witch class!"
I started to read and I was very confused on the game, but I decided to give it a shot.. I haven't looked back since.
